...Please Leave Your Message After the Beep

Beep.
It's me again.
Is it night time over there now?

I just want to remind you,
again,
to water my jasmine.

I still have business to take care of.
Please take care of them for another month.
Beep.

Afterthoughts...

This is actually the first English poem that I wrote, and it is written for class. The ones posted before were actually written after. I remember writing a Chinese poem when I was younger, but that was unfortunately lost between moving, changing computers, and not taking my own writing seriously.

I remember very little of it. I think it was four lines of seven words each. I liked it because of its flow. It was a rather emotional poem of the speaker cursing (without swearing) someone who "stole her husband." I still do not understand why I thought of that at all. I am not even sure if I knew what love is back then. The inspiration was just completely random and unprovoked.

I do not know if I can even write Chinese poems now anymore. It has always seemed most difficult, and even more so now that the Chinese language is sort of deteriorating in me, and my thoughts are no longer constructed in terms of Chinese.
